Pour la première fois de son histoire, le T.W.O. a commandé une œuvre. Il s’agit d’un concerto pour hautbois et ensemble à vent composé par Gabriel Philippot. Il sera interprété par Alexandre Gattet.

La création mondiale aura lieu les 26 et 27 octobre 2018 à l’Auditorium Saint-Pierre des Cuisines de Toulouse sous la direction de Mathieu Romano.

Alexandre Gattet a sept ans lorsqu’il entreprend des études de hautbois. Il obtient une Médaille d’or au CNR de Toulouse avant d’entrer au Conservatoire de Paris – CNSMDP où il remporte les Premiers prix de musique de chambre (1998) puis de hautbois (1999).
Premier prix du Concours international « Gillet » (USA-1999) et du Concours international de Tokyo (2000), il participe à de nombreux festivals en France et à l’étranger et a été invité comme hautbois solo au sein de grands orchestres internationaux (Philharmonique de Berlin, Orchestre de la Radio bavaroise, Budapest Festival Orchestra, Mahler Chamber Orchestra…).

Il prend ses fonctions en qualité de premier hautbois solo à l’Orchestre de Paris en 2001. En 2002, il est lauréat du prestigieux concours de l’ARD à Munich.

ALEXANDRE GATTET, soloist in 2018

For the first time in its history, the T.W.O. commissioned a work. This is a concerto for oboe and wind ensemble composed by Gabriel Philippot. It will be interpreted by Alexandre Gattet.

The world premiere will take place on October 26 and 27, 2018, at the Auditorium Saint-Pierre des Cuisines in Toulouse under the direction of Mathieu Romano.

Alexandre Gattet was seven years old when he began studying oboe. He obtained a Gold Medal at CNR Toulouse before entering the « Conservatoire de Paris » – CNSMDP where he won the First Prize in Chamber Music (1998) and oboe (1999).
First prize at the International Competition « Gillet » (USA-1999) and the Tokyo International Competition (2000), he participates in numerous festivals in France and abroad and has been invited as solo oboe in major international orchestras ( Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, Bavarian Radio Orchestra, Budapest Festival Orchestra, Mahler Chamber Orchestra …).

He took up his duties as first solo oboe at the « Orchestre de Paris » in 2001. In 2002, he won the prestigious ARD competition in Munich.
