SOPHIE DARTIGALONGUE, SOLISTE EN 2018 | Toulouse Wind Orchestra

Le 13 avril 2018, le T.W.O. a eu le plaisir d’accompagner Sophie Dartigalongue dans le concerto pour basson de Henri Tomasi, spécialement arrangé pour ensemble à vent par Maxime Aulio, compositeur et chef d’orchestre toulousain.

Née en 1991, Sophie Dartigalongue débute sa formation musicale à la guitare et à la clarinette. Elle débute le basson en 2003. Elle a étudié au Conservatoire National Supérieur de Lyon, dans la classe de basson de C. Colombo et J. Pignoly. En 2011, elle se perfectionne à l’Académie Karajan de l’Orchestre philharmonique de Berlin, où elle a eu comme professeur Daniele Damiano. En 2012, elle remporte l’audition de contrebasson solo et devient membre de l’Orchestre Philharmonique de Berlin. En 2015, elle est nommée basson principal de l’Opéra de Vienne et succédera à Michael Werba.
Durant ses études, Sophie participe à de nombreuses compétitions où elle remporte plus d’une douzaine de prix internationaux dont le second prix et le prix du public (1er prix non décerné) au concours international de l’ARD à Munich en septembre 2013. En 2015 elle remporte le prestigieux Bague Beethoven à Bonn.

En tant que soliste, elle joue avec l’Orchestre Symphonique de la Radio Bavaroise (concerto Jolivet), l’Orchestre de Chambre de Munich (concerto Vivaldi), l’Orchestre Philarmonique du Sud Ouest Allemand (concerto Mozart), l’Orchestre de Chambre de Vienne (Strauss concertino), l’Orchestre SWR Stuttgart (concerto Hummel) …

Elle participe à plusieurs festivals tels que: Beethoven Bonn Festival, Bassoon Festival Beijing, Conférence internationale Double Reed, Festival de Lucerne, BBC Proms, Festival La Côte Saint André, Festival de Salzbourg …
Depuis 2013 elle donne des masterclasses au Japon, en Argentine, en Espagne, au Portugal …
Depuis 2014, elle est « artiste Püchner ».

On April 13, 2018, the T.W.O. had the pleasure to accompany Sophie Dartigalongue in the bassoon concerto of Henri Tomasi, specially arranged for wind ensemble by Maxime Aulio, composer and conductor of Toulouse.

Born in 1991, Sophie Dartigalongue starts her musical education with guitar and clarinet. She came to the bassoon in 2003. She studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Lyon, in the bassoon class of C. Colombo and J. Pignoly. In 2011 she came to the Karajan Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic, where she had as teacher Daniele Damiano. In 2012, she won the audition for solo-contrebassoon and became a member of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2015 she is appointed as principal bassoon of the Vienna states Opera and will succeed Michael Werba.

During her studies, Sophie takes part in many competitions where she won more than a dozen international awards including the second prize and audience prize (1st not awarded) at the international competition of the ARD in Munich in September 2013. In 2015 she won the prestigious Beethoven Ring in Bonn.

As a soloist, she plays with the Symphony Orchestra of the Bavarian Radio (Jolivet concerto), the Munich Chamber Orchestra (Vivaldi concerto), the South West German Philarmonic Orchestra ( Mozart concerto), the Vienna Chamber Orchestra (Strauss concertino), SWR Orchestra Stuttgart (Hummel concerto)…
