The Toulouse Wind Orchestra ranked third in the world with a score of 92.6 out of 100 at Kerkrade’s World Music Contest in July 2017.

This competition brings together the best orchestras in the world every 4 years. In 2017, in the category “wind orchestra”, 90 orchestras from all over the world were divided into 4 divisions. The T.W.O. competed in concert division, the highest category.

For its first participation, the orchestra gave a performance of very high level, noticed by the jury (Philippe Ferro, Jan Van Der Roost, Steven Mead, Douglas Bostock, etc.) and the audience of Kerkrade. The competition was won by Harmonie St. Petrus & Paulus Wolder-Maastricht (The Netherlands), in front of the Baden-Württemberg Landesblasorchester (Germany) and the TWO.

Thank you to all the partners of the orchestra who helped the TWO to participate in this contest!
