The Toulouse Wind Orchestra will invest the “Halle aux Grains” on April 13, 2018 for an exceptional concert, with the presence of Sophie Dartigalongue, principal bassoon of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.

A concert that will see the return of two former soloist, this time inside the orchestra: Felix Dervaux (former solo horn of the Royal Concertgebouw Amsterdam), and Jonathan Reith, principal trombone of the Orchester de Paris . With a varied program, H.Tomasi’s “liturgical fanfares” will give pride of place to the brass and vocals (with the participation of the Toulouse II Jean Jaurès University choir) in a brilliant but also collected piece. The bassoon concerto will show the virtuosity of this instrument. Maxime Aulio signs the arrangement for wind band.

Finally, B.A. Zimmerman’s “Music for King Ubu Suppers” is a masterpiece of composition, with quotes from around fifty works, mixed together, ranging from Bach to Honegger, which will make you smile and cringe…

A short and eclectic program, a great opportunity to discover the TWO for the first time at “Halle aux Grains”, concert hall of the “Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse.

Concert at 8.30 pm, doors open at 8 pm
